AEG washing machines are supplied with a power cord and a NEMA 6-20 3-prong plug ready for connection to an AC 240 V / 60hZ power supply.  The fuse rating is 15 amps.

AEG dryers are supplied with a power cord and a NEMA 6-20 3-prong plug ready for connection to an AC 240 V / 60hZ power supply.  The fuse rating is 20 amps.

These appliances require a 240 V / 60hZ receptacle – NEMA 6-20R.

For an AEG laundry pair, the AEG adaptor box is equipped with a 240 V / 60hZ plug which plugs into the existing North American dryer receptacle with 30 amp power supply – 4 prong. The adaptor box has 2 x NEMA 6-20R outlets allowing both the AEG washer and AEG dryer to operate simultaneously.

For installations in a new home, you have to have two separate receptacles:

• The washer receptacle must be a 250 volt, 15 amp, 3-prong
• The dryer receptacle must be a 250 volt, 20 amp, 3-prong
